Common reasons to call
- A tap that drips, is stiff, or has a loose or corroded body
- A toilet that runs continuously, flushes weakly or leaks at the base or pan connector
- Replacing fittings during a kitchen or bathroom update
What the service involves
The fitting, supply pressure, isolation and waste connections need checking before a replacement is agreed. Installation can involve removing the old fitting, adapting connections and testing the new one for leaks and operation. Confirm what is included, including any disposal or extra pipework.
Getting ready for the fitting
If you are buying the tap or toilet yourself, keep the box and instructions and check the item is complete. Send Tom the model or a photo when you book so he can confirm it is suitable. Clear the cupboard under the sink or the area around the toilet. If you have a leak in the meantime, isolate at the service valve without forcing it.
Call Tom at FirstFlow 24/7 to discuss the problem, availability and cost. For a problem with your incoming water supply, contact your water supplier.
Do I need to buy the tap or toilet before you come?
Check with Tom first. If you want to supply your own fitting, send the model and dimensions so compatibility can be discussed. If you would prefer help sourcing it, ask whether supply is available and how it would be priced.
Useful details to have ready
Have your postcode, photos taken safely, and details of the fault or planned installation ready. Ask what is included in the quote and whether further investigation could change the price.
