Common faults
- A tap that drips or will not shut off fully
- An overflow pipe running outside, or a toilet cistern constantly refilling
- Banging or knocking pipes, or a damp patch that keeps coming back
What the service involves
The affected fitting and nearby pipework are assessed to help identify the cause. Repair or replacement depends on condition and compatible parts. Keep any make or model information handy, and ask about parts availability and whether a follow-up visit may be needed before agreeing the work.
Before the visit
Make a note of when the problem happens, for example only when a certain tap runs or after the heating comes on. Clear the cupboard under the sink or around the fitting so it is accessible. If a leak is active, isolate it at the nearest valve or stopcock if you can do so without forcing it, and keep water away from electrics.
Call Tom at FirstFlow 24/7 to discuss the problem, availability and cost. For a problem with your incoming water supply, contact your water supplier.
Can several small jobs be done in one visit?
It may be possible to combine jobs, depending on their scope, parts and available time. List each job when you call so Tom can confirm what can be included in a visit.
Useful details to have ready
Have your postcode, photos taken safely, and details of the fault or planned installation ready. Ask what is included in the quote and whether further investigation could change the price.
